Krusinski Construction Company (KCC) successfully delivered a 1,087-SF outpatient lab renovation in an active wing of a Premier Chicagoland Healthcare Provider’s hospital, creating a modern and functional space to support critical patient services and day-to-day operations. The project involved temporary containment and demolition of the former Obstetrics unit, followed by the construction of a new Phlebotomy unit and the retrofitting of surrounding areas to optimize operations.
Exterior improvements included the replacement of an existing rooftop unit (RTU) to power the upgraded lab spaces. All work was completed in an occupied, active hospital environment, where our team prioritized safety, precision and minimal disruption for patients, visitors and staff.
“We were proud to strengthen our partnership with one of our repeat healthcare clients and deliver a space that supports their mission of exceptional care,” said Rich Melone, Project Executive. “This project allowed us to make a direct impact on patient experience and operational needs.”
This project marked the second of two contracts awarded to Krusinski by this Premier Chicagoland Healthcare Provider, reinforcing our role as a Trusted Advisor in the healthcare sector.
