Krusinski Construction Company (KCC) has started construction on a 64,086-SF warehouse and office buildout for Saltbox, a company that provides flexible warehouse and workspace for growing product brands. Located in Elmhurst, Illinois, the facility will serve as Saltbox’s first Midwest location, supporting the company’s continued expansion across the United States.
The renovated warehouse will include infrastructure to support a modular wall system, providing e-commerce brands and entrepreneurs with a flexible, professional environment for receiving, storing and shipping inventory.
“Krusinski is excited to support Saltbox as they expand their innovative e-commerce and logistics business into the Midwest,” said Ryan Lehman, Senior Project Manager at Krusinski Construction Company.
The project includes renovations within the existing 1,182-SF office space to align with Saltbox’s distinctive branding, designed to provide members with a welcoming and professional environment. Additional infrastructure upgrades, restroom renovations and back-of-house improvements will enhance the facility’s functionality and support daily operations. A state-of-the-art air purification system and climate-controlled environment will also be incorporated to help ensure optimal storage conditions for tenants’ products.

Construction is scheduled for completion in early November 2026, with the facility ready to open its doors to members and start serving business entrepreneurs in the community of Elmhurst.
Members of the project team include Ryan Lehman, Senior Project Manager; Siddy Gupta Katkam, Project Engineer; Dan Laffey, Senior Project Superintendent; and Angie Mojica, Project Coordinator. Ware Malcomb is serving as the project architect.
