Oak Brook, Illinois – Krusinski Construction Company shares a mix of gratitude and emotion as we celebrate the retirement of Gregg Johnson, Senior Project Superintendent, after 8 rewarding and impactful years at KCC. Gregg joined KCC in 2017, bringing a wealth of experience, knowledge and personality after spending many successful years in the construction industry before joining Krusinski.

Gregg’s deep knowledge, calm demeanor and dedicated leadership have been invaluable to the Field Operations team and countless projects he was a part of. His problem-solving mindset and commitment to doing things the right way, The Krusinski Way, every time has left a lasting impact on our teams, partners and culture. Even on the craziest days, Gregg’s subtle sense of humor and smile have always kept us grounded and focused on the task at hand.

Through it all, Gregg showed his unwavering commitment to KCC through a strong sense of responsibility, pride and a deep respect for the people around him. He always had time to mentor newer team members or stop and tell us a story about the project at hand. He has always gone above and beyond to represent what KCC truly stands for. A few of his KRU members had some farewell messages to share with Gregg.

RICK DREWS, GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT

“Over the last eight years, Gregg has made life-long friendships and contributions across KCC. He has been a great teammate and even better friend, especially among the other Superintendents. He’s someone the team could always count on for advice, support, or even a quick laugh when it was needed most.”

BOB SHANNON, SENIOR PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT

“Gregg is a great friend and colleague whom you could always count on to discuss a work issue we might have. Gregg is the consummate professional who puts KCC as his top priority. He is also known for his willingness to assist his co-workers in any capacity they need help, making him a great asset to KCC. He is truly a valuable member of the KRU, whose positive impact will be missed. Congratulations to Gregg on his retirement!”

JEFF KRUSINSKI, PRESIDENT & CEO

“While Gregg’s retirement is well-earned, his presence will be deeply missed.  Every time I met Gregg on a project, I was greeted with a smile and immediately felt comfortable with his awareness of everything taking place on site.  Gregg embodied our Core Values with his decisions and actions daily, but to me, KCC’s Core Value of Caring stood out amongst them all. Gregg first and foremost cared about the safety of everyone on his site.  That caring attitude also weaved through his interactions with our clients, municipalities, trade partners, design teams and of course, the KRU.  With a great sense of dry humor, integrity, and attention to detail, Gregg has left a legacy of leadership and is a treasured member of our KRU. Enjoy the days ahead and thanks for strengthening our team for so many years!”

Thank you, Gregg, for your friendship, contributions and dedication to our overall success! We cannot wait to see what your first adventure entails, whether it’s a fishing excursion or a trip to a National Park, we expect you to kick off the next chapter in style—you’ve more than earned it!

Best of luck, Gregg—Happy Retirement!
