Krusinski Construction Completes Two Projects For CN Railway

March 27, 2026

Krusinski Construction Company recently completed two renovation projects for long-time client, CN Railway at one of their sites in Homewood, Illinois. The projects included working across two separate buildings to restore key infrastructure and support ongoing operations.

The Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) project focused on the renovation and restoration of a 2,400-SF building following extensive fire damage. The work consisted of structural roof repairs, interior renovations to bring the facility back to full-service and partial replacement of exterior metal siding on the existing metal structure.

At the Battery Nursing Station, this project included the installation of a new ventilation extraction system for the F&I battery nursing station. The system was designed to safely remove hydrogen generated during battery maintenance and allow operations to continue safely.

“CN Railway continually puts their trust in Krusinski to put the right team in place to get the job done,” said Nate Tenpas, Project Manager, Krusinski Construction Company. “We’ve had the opportunity to support their operations on a wide range of projects throughout the Midwest, and we’re always focused on delivering work that keeps their facilities running efficiently.”

Together, these projects restored essential functions during normal hours of operations, while supporting ongoing operational needs across the CN Railway site.

Members of the Krusinski Construction team included Nate Tenpas, Project Manager; Siddy Gupta Katkam, Project Engineer; Kevin Gibbons, Project Superintendent; Erin Anderson, Project Coordinator; and Yvette Hianik, Preconstruction Manager
