A 135,000-SF, LEED-Silver, food preparation facility for IAC Properties maintains a 41-degree temperature and a large freezer area at -10 degrees. The glass main entry façade includes a custom glass elevator and full-height glass curtain framing at the exterior walls, in addition to custom pits for food prep operations with built-in heating components.
The facility also features a fully automated SmartWall system, which separates the testing and training kitchens. This project is the winner of the NAIOP Chicago’s Industrial Build-to-Suit Development of the Year award.
