Krusinski partnered with Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. and Ware Malcomb to deliver a 15,000-SF, built-to-suit training facility on Toyota’s 50-acre regional campus in Aurora, Illinois. The center serves as a hub for technical training across Toyota’s Chicago Region, supporting over 100 dealerships and numerous local associates.
The facility features a 7,300-SF service training bay equipped with specialized automotive equipment and 12 high-tech service bays designed to simulate real-world dealership environments. Three large classrooms with oversized viewing windows and integrated training consoles provide flexible learning spaces for both technical and classroom instruction. The project also included the design and construction of a new parking lot to accommodate increased campus activity.
Sustainability was a key focus, with the building achieving LEED Gold certification. Green building strategies included construction waste management, use of recycled and regional materials, low-flow plumbing fixtures, optimized energy performance, Energy Star-rated systems and enhanced indoor air quality measures.
