We took a deeper dive into Gina’s 30-year legacy at Krusinski Construction Company and asked her to share her thoughts on what it means to be a key contributor to building the family business.
What makes working at Krusinski Construction Company special?
Getting to work alongside by brothers, father and uncle over the years has been a truly meaningful experience. We’ve built a strong foundation of trust, and I’ve learned valuable lessons from each of them. I couldn’t be more grateful to share in the family legacy of Krusinski Construction Company.
If you could describe Krusinski Construction’s company culture, what would you say?
Krusinski’s culture is a “work hard, play hard” environment where we know the balance of working hard and having fun while we do it. Our team is exceptional—committed to supporting both our clients and one another. We are aligned and always working towards shared goals, and when it is time to unwind, we truly know how to have fun and enjoy each other’s company.
What is your favorite Krusinski memory/experience?
One memory I often come back to revisit is our office move from Westchester to Oak Brook. It was 1999 and Y2K had everyone in the world in a panic. There was “impending doom” about the potential for widespread computer system failures when the clocks struck midnight on 1/1/2000. Fortunately, we made it through without any major issues, but the tension and uncertainty of that time still stand out!
How has Krusinski Construction Company helped shape your career as a professional?
I love learning, and I continue to learn something new here nearly every day. Everyone brings unique experiences that create opportunities to teach and learn from each other. Working closely with so many dedicated people has given me insight into different perspectives—and the chance to share my own. I’ve come to really value a mindset of service, and I take a lot of pride in passing on some of my 30 years of institutional knowledge to help others grow. The best part is the sense of pride in overcoming challenges together while learning new things and turning our customers’ vision into reality.
How has Krusinski Construction Company helped shape your career as a professional?
As a family-owned company, there are so many ways that Krusinski Construction Company has given back not only to me and my family, but to the extension of our family—Our KRU! I have been blessed to learn from a team filled with the best and brightest individuals. Every challenge and every success over the past 30 years has taught me important lessons, helping me build my confidence and resilience along the way. Without each relationship and connection, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
