We took a deeper dive into Gary’s 30-year legacy at Krusinski Construction Company and asked him to share his thoughts on how KCC is truly his extended family.
What makes working at Krusinski Construction Company special?
It’s the people I get to work with every day. I’m fortunate to work alongside teammates who genuinely care—not just about their work, but about each other. We’re all focused on helping one another, our customers, and our subcontractors succeed. While I’ve been here a long time, I’ve also worked elsewhere, and I know firsthand how rare it is to be part of a team where everyone is truly rowing in the same direction. That’s what makes Krusinski so special.
If you could describe Krusinski Construction’s company culture, what would you say?
Krusinski’s culture is collaborative, fun and supportive. We’re given the tools we need to succeed and the autonomy that shows we’re trusted. There’s a shared sense of pride in taking on challenges together, celebrating wins, and living out KCC’s core values. As a family-owned business, the Krusinski family works hard to make sure everyone feels like they’re part of something bigger—like part of the family.
What is your favorite Krusinski memory/experience?
My favorite memory is KCC’s 50th Anniversary celebration. Reaching that milestone is a rare achievement in today’s business world, and being part of the company for 28.5 of those 50 years made it incredibly meaningful to me. It was a celebration not just of longevity, but of everything we’ve built together over the years.
How has Krusinski Construction Company helped shape your career as a professional?
I love learning, and I continue to learn something new here nearly every day. Everyone brings unique experiences that create opportunities to teach and learn from each other. Working closely with so many dedicated people has given me insight into different perspectives—and the chance to share my own. I’ve come to really value a mindset of service, and I take a lot of pride in passing on some of my 30 years of institutional knowledge to help others grow. The best part is the sense of pride in overcoming challenges together while learning new things and turning our customers’ vision into reality.
If there’s one thing you’d like to thank Krusinski Construction for, what would it be?
Looking back on my time at Krusinski, I’m struck by how much this company has become a part of who I am. The consistency of values, the pride in doing the right thing, and the relationships I’ve built here have all meant a great deal to me.
It’s also very gratifying to feel fully supported by the whole KRU both in the office and outside of it. KCC has been a place where I’ve grown both professionally and personally, where I’ve always felt like my contributions mattered. That’s something I’ll always be grateful for.
My thirty years at Krusinski have given me the chance to be part of something bigger than just a job. I’ve had the privilege of helping shape our growth, mentoring others, and carrying forward a culture that values trust, teamwork, caring and going above and beyond. There’s a real sense of legacy here, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to contribute to that—to know I’ve helped build something that will continue to thrive for years to come.
