Job Summary:

The Estimator is primarily responsible for coordination and completion of the pre-construction phase of assigned projects related to the bidding and budgeting process.  The Estimator is capable of managing small to medium sized projects in a variety of markets.


Job Scope and Essential Functions:

  • Manage client, designer and trade contacts throughout the pre-construction process
  • Represent Krusinski Construction Company at pre-construction meetings in a manner that enhances the reputation of the Company
  • Develop a working knowledge of material costs, square foot costs and total building costs
  • Update historical cost database
  • Identify and qualify subcontractors to develop adequate list for each trade
  • Utilize KCC processes for budgets, scope of work descriptions and bid analysis
  • Provide accurate and timely issuance of bid packages to trade contractors
  • Provide accurate and timely delivery of budgets and proposals to clients

  • Preferred four-year degree in related curriculum
  • 3+ years’ experience as PE, Superintendent or PM

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Microsoft Project
  • Bluebeam
  • Google SketchUp (recommended)
  • Earthworks Pro, Agtek, Insite or similar
  • AutoCad (recommended)
  • Revit / Navisworks (recommended)


Licensure / Certification:
  • OSHA 10
  • ASHE
  • CPE


Physical Demands:

The Estimator is capable of driving short and long distances to visit project sites, capable of walking project sites including demands of ladders, uneven terrain and challenging weather conditions, capable of sitting for extended period of time at desk and working on the computer


Working Conditions:

95% office environment and 5% field environment
