A groundbreaking ceremony was held this week in Sycamore, Illinois for the new Ignatius Press/5 Stones building. The new 57,652 square foot facility will include a chapel, an expandable mezzanine area that will double the size of the building and a two story office space interior to be utilized for meetings, gatherings and printing capabilities. The building is being designed by Cornerstone Architects Ltd., Missman, Inc. civil engineers, and the Krusinski Construction Company.
Monsignor Daniel J. Deutsch, Vicar for Clergy, Catholic Diocese of Rockford, Illinois joined the team to celebrate the groundbreaking and led the Blessing. Salt was blessed and spread across the site by 5 Stones employees and their children.
