Biography The founder and CEO of Krusinski Construction Company, Joseph R. Krusinski has more than 50 year’s experience in the construction industry. Since 1973, he has built the firm into one of the premier construction companies in the Chicago area with a national reputation among developers and corporations across the country.
Prior to 1973, Krusinski was a practicing architect overseeing the design, construction and leasing of retail facilities in a four-state area.
Today he is a leader of the Chicago construction industry. He is a past president of the Chicago Building Congress, serves on the board of directors for the Chicagoland Construction Safety Council and is active in the National Association of Industrial Office Properties (NAIOP), the Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers (AIRE) and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR).
He has been cited in the Chicago Tribune, Entrepreneur Magazine, Crain’s Chicago Business and numerous local and national real estate publications. In addition, he has by-lined articles for Midwest Real Estate News, Commercial Building and Plastics News.
Joe has been honored with many prestigious awards, most recently the Chicago Building Congress 2010 Award of Honor, as well as the Richard G. Levy President’s Award from the SIOR Chicago Chapter in December 2008. In 2004, he received the University of Illinois Loyalty Award for Exceptional Alumni Service from the University of Illinois at Chicago and was named to the Presidents Council for his contribution of counsel, time, talent and effort to the welfare of the University of Illinois. In 2000, he was named to the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame sponsored by the University of Illinois at Chicago. He continues to support that institution as a member of its College of Business Administration Business Advisory Council.
Krusinski holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is a licensed architect in the State of Illinois. He also retains a national architect’s registration status as a member of the NCARB. Krusinski completed the OSHA 10-hour training.
