ABOUT KRUSINSKI

Krusinski Construction Company is committed to giving back to the communities in which we work and where our employees live. Over the years, our company has contributed its time, resources and dollars to several charitable projects.

Krusinski held its fourth blood drive with Heartland Blood Centers in March 2011. The drive was located in a mobile unit at Krusinski headquarters with over 12 donors participating.

In October 2008, Krusinski employees partnered with the Northern Illinois Food Bank and collected over 300 non-perishable canned goods to benefit the "NFL Moms Tackling Hunger" food drive.

Our 2007 holiday project was a huge success. Krusinski Construction Company employees donated over 180 toys, games and books to Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago. These toys are distributed to patients and siblings of patients during their stay at Children's. The staff also has an inventory of toys that are used to occupy the children during minor procedures and tests. We were all very excited to participate in this project.

On a balmy August 9 evening over 25 Krusinski employees and members of their family prepped and cooked a meal for over 150 Hesed House clients in Aurora.

The March 2006 Blood Drive co-hosted with Heartland Blood Centers was a huge success. Over 20 pints of blood were donated. More than 30 donors and volunteers participated on the project.

For the 2005 holiday season, our employees and their families “adopted” a local Batavia family of seven, whose finances had been drained due to a life threatening illness. Gifts were purchased for the family from a list of items they requested. The family also received Jewel and BP gift cards, movie passes and sports equipment.

The employees of Krusinski sponsored two families from the Mutual Ground organization in Aurora. Both families' "wants and needs" were met. This was a fantastic way to celebrate the 2004 Christmas holiday.

Krusinski teamed with Adventist Laboratory Partners Blood Center of Hinsdale Hospital and hosted a blood drive the spring of 2004 at its corporate headquarters in Oak Brook. Over 32 donors and 10 volunteers participated in the drive including employees, subcontractors and our neighbor, RAM Consulting.

Another recent project was packing food at the Greater Chicago Food Depository. A group of 20 Krusinski associates packed over 424 boxes totaling more than 12,700 pounds of food!

In a mutual effort with some of our subcontractors, Krusinski Construction donated labor hours and materials for various renovations at The Living Room Café, a café for the homeless on Chicago's south side.

In addition to our volunteer efforts, Krusinski Construction Company has set-up a Gift Fund in which we provide monetary donations throughout the year to several admirable organizations. In 2006, our company donated over $20,000 to support projects and programs in the following areas:

  • Education
  • Health Research and Assistance
  • Child and Youth Development
  • Community Partnerships
  • Programs for the Elderly
  • Food Assistance Programs
  • Churches
