August - 2005OMRON AUTOMOTIVE AWARDS KCC CONTRACT Krusinski Construction Company has received a $2 million contract from Omron Automotive Electronics Inc., to renovate a 235,000-square-foot warehouse at 3709 Ohio Avenue in St. Charles, Ill.
The first of a two-phase project for Omron calls for Krusinski to renovate approximately 20,000 square feet of manufacturing, office and warehouse space. The second phase, now in the design stage, will include additional renovations.
The project requires extensive electrical work, installation of a new HVAC and sprinkler system, as well as a new ceiling and non-dissipative static flooring.
Construction began in June and completion is expected in October, according to Michael J. Metz, project executive.
“The project will not shut down Omron's operations,” says Metz. “We will put up several temporary walls to segregate the construction work.”
Krusinski previously renovated a 50,400-square-foot facility for Omron’s manufacturing division at 2632 Stern Avenue in St. Charles.
Charles J. Onik is the project superintendent for Krusinski. Paul Peraino of Harris Architects in Palatine is the architect.
