May - 2005AWARDED SECOND PROJECT FOR LAW FIRM Krusinski Construction Company, Oak Brook, recently began a 10,000-square-foot interior build-out for the law firm of Barnes & Thornburg on the 43rd floor of 1 N. Wacker, Chicago.
Krusinski will add seven partner offices, 11 associate offices, four paralegal offices and a computer training room. The new space will be renovated to match the interior in the firm’s current location on the 44th and 45th floors, which was constructed by Krusinski in 2003.
The project will be completed in June, according to Andrew J. Johnson, project manager, and will include an expansion of all mechanical and electrical systems. Krusinski will work overtime to finish the project, with much of the disruptive work taking place between 5 and 8 a.m.
“By working in the early morning we will try to limit the amount of disruption to Barnes & Thornburg employees, as well as other tenants,” says Johnson.
Barnes & Thornburg is the largest law firm in Indiana and one of the largest in the Midwest, with approximately 400 attorneys in seven offices in Illinois, Indiana and Washington, D.C.
Michael J. Metz is the project executive for Krusinski Construction Company. The senior project superintendent is Ralph Colmenares. The architect is Selena Durbin of Interior Architects in Chicago.
