February - 2007ALVARADO WINS DIG AWARD Krusinski Construction Company has named Jose Alvarado of Blue Island, Ill., the 2007 first quarter winner of the company’s DIG (Diversify, Improve, Grow) award.
Alvarado, Krusinski’s tool and equipment manager, received the award for his “whatever-it-takes” attitude at job sites and with fellow employees, according to Shawn Barry, Krusinski’s general superintendent and corporate safety officer.
While Krusinski Construction Company was working on a building for Moser Enterprises in downtown Naperville, a storm knocked over a fence and a team of Krusinski employees was needed to put it back up. Driving in from his Blue Island home to lend his support, Alvarado was one of the first on the scene.
“Jose sets a positive example for on-site personnel,” said Barry.
Alvarado, who has been with the company since 1997, received a cash bonus and a company lunch in his honor. In addition, his name will be added to a company plaque.
Krusinski’s DIG program was instituted as a way to involve every employee in company strategies for growth and profitability. Employees are honored for submitting recommendations for cost savings, sales leads and productivity initiatives as well as for outstanding service to the company.
