November - 2006METZ RECIPIENT OF DIG AWARD Krusinski Construction Company has named Michael J. Metz of Glen Ellyn the 2006 fourth-quarter winner of the company’s DIG (Diversify, Improve, Grow) award.
Metz, 45, Krusinski’s vice-president for project management and field operations, received the award for securing more than $30 million in project work from such clients as Follett Educational Services, Wm. W. Meyer & Sons, AMB Property Corporation, Ridge Property Trust, Omron Corporation, Windgate, Levy Home Entertainment, Bridgestone Firestone and others.
Omron, AMB Property Corporation, Ridge Property Trust, Windgate and Bridgestone Firestone are completed projects, while Follett and Wm. W. Meyers & Sons are currently under construction.
Metz has been with Krusinski Construction Company for 16 years, starting as project manager.
“Krusinski Construction Company has been awarded some outstanding projects as a result of Mike Metz’s hard work and determination,” says Jerry R. Krusinski, president.
The DIG program was instituted as a way to involve every employee in company strategies for growth and profitability. Employees are honored for submitting recommendations for cost savings, sales leads and productivity initiatives as well as for outstanding service to the company.
As a DIG winner, Metz received an extra vacation day and a company lunch in his honor. In addition, his name will be added to a company plaque.
