The article, titled, “Construction Costs Climb, but Building Still Booms,” details the rising costs associated with building new commercial facilities. According to statistics gathered by Krusinski Construction Company, construction costs have increased by 8 percent since the beginning of January. According to the article, demand for these items is high, and there is a finite supply. Prices for other items, such as cement and concrete, have increased because domestic production has failed to keep up with orders.
Contractors such as Krusinski Construction Company have to look for innovative ways to cut costs. According to Jeffrey Krusinski, increased material costs can influence companies to lower the building’s square footage or use less expensive finishes, such as aluminum instead of copper.
At the time of publication, the real estate community continued to move along, as investors were still willing to build. To read the full article, Go to this Page.
