August - 2006FOLLETT AWARDS CONTRACT TO KRUSINSKI Krusinski Construction Company has been awarded a $9 million contract from Follett Educational Services to build an addition to the company’s 174,000-square-foot distribution center at 1433 International Parkway in Woodridge, Ill.
The expansion will include 100,000 square feet of warehouse space and 36,000 square feet of office space. In the office area, Krusinski will add an 8,000-square-foot high-tech data room which will serve as a disaster recovery center for more than six Follett companies.
Krusinski built the company’s original building in 1999. The facility, which employs over 100 people, is located over 9.35 acres and has parking for 434 cars.
Construction will begin in late September and the project is expected to be completed in April 2007, according to Michael J. Metz, project executive for Krusinski Construction Company.
John Becker is the project engineer for Krusinski and Jeff Lycan is the project superintendent. Al Arns of AGA Architects is the project architect.
Follett, a 133-year-old family-owned company, is the largest provider of K-12 reconditioned textbooks and instructional materials.
