COMCAST CALL CENTER TO BE BUILT IN WOODRIDGE

Krusinski Construction Company will build a new $9.4 million call center for Comcast Cable Communications in Woodridge, Ill., at 10100 Woodward Avenue.

The 80,000-square-foot building is being developed by ProLogis, a provider of distribution facilities and services. The call center will include 77,000 square feet of office space and is located on approximately 8.5 acres. Parking will be provided for 536 cars.

John Haggerty of Lincolnshire-based Dobrin + Associates is the project architect for the exterior of the building. Keith Rabuse and Lori Ott of Dallas-based Gromatzky Dupree and Associates are the architects for the interior build-out.

The new call center is expected to employ more than 500 people and is expected to be completed by early 2007, according to Jerry R. Krusinski, president.

Comcast also awarded Krusinski with two other contracts totaling almost $2,425,000 for improvements to other Comcast properties.

The larger of the two projects calls for a new addition plus renovations to a tech/op center at 1304 Marquette in Romeoville. The 12,000-square-foot addition will be used as warehouse space.

Krusinski will also add a production studio to Comcast’s offices at 17700 Hoffman Way in Homewood. Both projects are being designed by Ann Norman of Partners in Design, located in Deerfield, Ill.

Robert A. Pickens, Sr. will serve as Krusinski’s senior project manager for all three buildings.

Krusinski Construction Company has completed seven previous projects for Comcast in Illinois and Indiana since the cable company purchased AT&T Broadband in November, 2002. The acquisition greatly expanded Comcast’s presence in the Midwest and nationally.
